I hired Jason and his crew to help us with a renovation. My wife and I were getting ready to sell our property, so we were on a tight budget, and wanted a job that would be universally appealing to everyone. We had done most of the construction on our house up to this point, both as a cost saving measure, and because we are handy and able to do it.
Our home was unconventional and had a few quirks that we were hoping to resolve, and the renovation involved a mix of new construction, demolition and remodeling. Jason came into our place without an ego at all, listened to what we wanted and contributed some great ideas. He was very contentious about keeping his crew busy, and organized his time so they were very productive during their time at our place.
Since we were living there at the same time, we were pleased that they were very respectful of our space, and always left a tidy workplace. In the end, we were very happy with the job done and that it worked in our budget. Jason was creative in his solutions and extremely capable and ready to tackle anything. He contributed to design solutions, made sensible material choices and even offered to do the work on a very high, steep roof, when no one else wanted to.

Jason Steed came into our lives shortly after we moved to Pine Plains, doing a number of renovations and improvements on and about our house. He wasskilled, versatile and showed excellent good taste in his suggestions and executions. As a result, we sat down with him ten years ago to talk about an entertainment and guest bam to sit on a wooded slope above our house, knowing that, while he had done all the individual jobs separately, he had never built a complete house from foundation to those final interior touches.
Throughout the job Jason was a reservoir of good ideas, from labor saving ways of doing things to the construction of fine mouldings, melding anumber of architectural artifacts into a consistent whole. This building has drawn nothing but praise from visitors in the ten years since. Subsequently, on our recommendation, Jason was engaged to undertake a complete reconstruction and restoration of a late is" century farmhouse, a job he successfully completed with painstaking care and great skill. Were we ever to build another house, Jason would be our builder.
